FESTIVAL OF ART IN STOUT PARK
AUGUST 4 & 5
The sleepy coastal towns along the southern Oregon coast are awakened when a young woman is found slain in her home, followed by the murder of an elderly couple in the same town. If the deaths are related, what is their sinister connection? In this second book in the O’Toole and Starker murder mystery series the reader will follow the detectives as they seek out clues and unravel stories from several suspects, and in the process enlist the help of law enforcement agencies in three states.
The personal lives of the detectives reflect real life problems, and their individual quirks lend both tension and humor to the relationships. This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys murder mysteries and accurate police procedures. Detectives O’Toole and Starker are again a great team, using their intellect and experience to ferret out the guilty amongst many possible suspects.
Bruce Cockerham is the author’s technical consultant for the law-enforcement theme. He is a thirty-year law enforcement veteran who trained with the FBI as a counter sniper and is a graduate of both the California Command College and the FBI National Academy.

About Georgia and Bruce:
Georgia Cockerham is a writer, poet, and watercolorist living with her husband, Bruce, on the southern Oregon coast. She is a member of both Women Writing The West and the Watercolor Society of Oregon. Georgia is mother to two sons and GiGi to three wonderful grandchildren. Entering college with a desire to be a journalist, Georgia majored in English and later business management. She holds a BA degree from Saint Mary's College, Moraga, and is a retired investment advisor and insurance broker.
Bruce is Georgia's technical consultant for the law-enforcement theme of her murder mysteries. Bruce is a retired police captain with thirty years' experience in law enforcement. He has worked in patrol, traffic, detectives, SWAT, and administration and also worked as an academy instructor. He trained with the FBI as a counter sniper, and is a graduate of both the California Command College and the FBI National Academy. He holds a BA from Whitworth University and an MDiv from San Francisco Theological Seminary. He currently serves with the Curry County Sheriff's Office as a civil-enforcement deputy.
I have always very much enjoyed reading good murder mysteries and once I started writing about Patty O'Toole and Rick Starker I couldn't let them go. Hence Murder On The Oregon Coast, and nowmy second book in the O'Toole/Starker murder mystery series Murder On The Wind.
When not writing or painting I enjoy time spent with Bruce and friends. I am involved with volunteer work in Curry County including serving as a director, currently Vice President, on the Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative Board of Directors, and Leader for the TCF Northwest Coast chapter. I am also a volunteer for the Curry County Sheriff's office.
The Oregon coast is filled with scenery that awakens my creative soul, and my life is enriched by the wonderful people who live here. It is the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea that inspires me to write and paint, and it is the people living in these small coastal towns who give meaning to my writing.
