Georgia Cockerham lives on the southern Oregon coast with husband, Bruce Cockerham. She is an Active member of
Mystery Writers of America, and of the Watercolor Society of Oregon. Georgia is mother to two sons
and has seven wonderful grandchildren. She holds a BA degree in Business Management from
Saint Mary's College, Moraga, and is a retired financial advisor and insurance broker.
Bruce is Georgia's technical consultant for the law-enforcement references in her murder mysteries.
Bruce is a retired police captain with thirty years' experience in law enforcement. He has
worked in patrol, traffic, detectives, SWAT, and administration and also worked as an academy
instructor. He trained with the FBI as a counter sniper, and is a graduate of both the California
Command College and the FBI National Academy. Bruce currently serves with the Curry
County Sheriff's Office as a civil-enforcement deputy.

I have always enjoyed a great murder mystery, and once I started writing about Patty O'Toole and Rick
Starker I couldn't let them go. Hence, Murder On The Oregon Coast, Murder On The Wind,Murder Replete...for now,
Murder Takes All, and Murder at Macklyn Cove!
I was honored last month to be chosen, due to the success of my writing, as one of the judges for the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award
competition. This involved my reading a manuscript and electronically completing a judge's form. I cannot attend this year's
Killer Nashville's International Writer's Conference in Tennessee, but it's on my calendar for next year!
While signing books at the Oregon Cheese Festival this last March, I was reminded of another honor bestowed upon me a few years ago
following publication of Murder Replete....for now. My first three books were featured in the Who's Who/What's What section of
Southern Oregon magazine.
I am currently working on the sixth book in the Oregon Coast murder mystery series. and will let my Murder, Mystery & Suspense newsletter
fans know when it's published. When not writing, I enjoy time spent with family and friends. I believe in supporting one's community
and do so as volunteer for the Curry County Sheriff's Office, and as a director on the Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative Board ofDirectors,. I
also serve as a director on the board for the Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange.
The Oregon coast is filled with scenery that awakens my creative soul, and it's the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea that inspires me.
The people I've met and continue to meet throughout my journey provide enrichment to my creativity and to my life.
